On the bar...

The last two days of the month on my fridge calendar now have big block letters: BAR EXAM.

EEK.

Studying with Little Miss Distraction has been interesting. The last few days have been pretty productive though. I can get in at least an hour while she sleeps, between getting up to go to the bathroom, talk to Bryan, answer the phone, stare at her sleeping face, and eat/drink. Then she wakes up, and I feed her and burp her, and clean up her spit up. Bryan takes her and changes her, and usually plays with her for a little bit until she goes back to sleep. (Sometimes I can't resist and I steal the play time).

It's incredibly hard to tear myself away, but I know that in the end it's what is best for the whole family - I mean, we do need to eat, and I'm the one who'll be making sure that happens...

I've decided to focus on the multistate portion, because in MA you can get as many points as you want on one half of the exam or the other, and the multistate topics are some of the most often tested on the state-specific exam anyway. So I am getting a little more bang for my buck. I've gotten through a lot, but I'm still in the middle of learning torts (I am realizing that we actually did not learn anything in my torts class 1L year... I'm not kidding). But the good news is I have almost all of my flash cards made, so soon I'll be able to have Bryan (or whomever else so desires) quiz me. I learn well when I can "teach" someone who knows nothing about the topic. Bryan knows this about me all too well - he learned a lot of Shakespeare in college when I was memorizing stuff for Dr Pesta's class, and he's learned a bit about Indian Law, Environmental Law, Tax, and a bunch of other random stuff that I am sure that he does not care to know. :) But he's great.

Anyway, I'm back at torts... wish me luck. Actually, luck is not enough here. I am not at all kidding when I say the only way I can get through this exam is by divine intervention.

Katie, Even though you have little Eden, I'm sure you realize how fortunate you are right now to NOT have a job you have to get up and go to every day and to have Bryan right there with you. I think you already have divine intervention. (:
Good luck on the studying.
YOU GO GIRL!

So true. And of course I wouldn't trade either Little Miss Distraction or her awesome Daddy for anything!! I really am the luckiest woman in the world.
