It.starts.tomorrow. EEK!
Kim came over today to watch Little Missy while Meg and I studied. It was so hard to hand her over when she was all smiley and happy, but that's the time I needed help. Because I get totally distracted. It was awesome to see her lovin' on our baby girl! And it was a huge blessing. Thanks Kim!!
For those of you who have been asking what the bar exam consists of, let me explain the MA exam (while I take a break and get things ready to register our new car - more on that later).
Tomorrow, Day #1, consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (100 before lunch and 100 after, 3 hours each session). These questions are the same for everyone in the country and cover six multistate topics: Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, Property, Evidence, and Constitutional Law. I will probably rock the heck out of Property and Constitutional Law and die in Evidence.
Thursday, Day #2, consists of 10 MA-specific essay questions (5 before lunch and 5 after, 3 hours each session). These questions cover all of the multistate topics as well as Domestic Relations, Wills, Trusts, Civil Procedure (yuck), Agency, Partnership, Corporations, Consumer Protection (Chapter 93A), Professional Responsibility (READ: MPRE!!), Secured Transactions, and Commercial Paper. Due to the sheer volume of stuff I needed to know, I did not study either of the last two subjects. They are the least frequently tested, but last summer each had its own question. Hopefully that was not a dumb choice.
So, it's going to be a marathon. Actually, truthfully, it's already been a marathon. The next two days are the sprint at the end.
Please pray for me. Here are some specific things you can pray for: (1) SLEEP; (2) peace; (3) confidence; (4) easy recall; and (5) cooperation from the most cow-like parts of me. (incidentally, the Board of Bar Examiners is allowing me to take my pump, in a gallon-sized clear plastic bag like everything else, and has reserved a room for all of the nursing mothers to use during lunch. Sweeet.)
I will survive. See you on the flip side.

GOOD LUCK KATIE! I will be praying for all five things and more.
Thanks for giving up your angel for a few minutes today. I was blessed! Praying for great sleep tonight, peace, confidence, easy recall, and a productive and still restful lunch break.
