A little bit of Pete

I just read the coolest thing that my friend from Hope, Pete, (who sadly has left us for the other coast) posted on his MySpace blog:

1) you can always tell from a still photograph or a painting of people dancing, that they're dancing, even though they are completely still and motionless.
2) in the eyes of a creature that moves much faster than us with much shorter life span--like a worker bee that can avoid rain drops, a simple task we perform may take their entire lifetime. A middle-aged man strolling from one end of the subway to the other may take up a quarter of an ant's lifetime, for example.
3) therefore, when I see trees with their branches all twisty and spiraly, I like to think that I'm witnessing them in the middle of their centuries-long dance, and I'll be lucky to witness a full measure before I die.
